Now available at Alexandria Hyundai, the 2011 Hyundai Sonata hybrid protects more than just the environment. Owning a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid means you don’t have to sacrifice on safety. Active and passive standard safety features include six airbags, 4-wheel ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, plus a host of other modern safety technologies that helped earn the Sonata model line a 2011 “Top Safety Pick” award from the IIHS.
In 2012 the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will require all vehicles to be equipped with ESC, a feature that the Sonata Hybrid and all Hyundai models have today.
NHTSA studies show passenger cars equipped with ESC experience 35% fewer single-vehicle crashes, and 30% fewer single-vehicle fatalities. ESC sensors measure the difference between a driver’s intended path—when a turn is less or more than intended—and applies appropriate braking force to individual wheels to help regain control. ESC also includes Traction Control System (TCS)5, which reduces wheelspin when accelerating. Visit Alexandria Hyundai today to schedule a test drive!
2011 Sonata Hybrid Offers VA Drivers Sleek PerformanceHybrids don’t need to be shaped like a cheese wedge to get better gas mileage. The design differences are subtly different from the traditional Sonata, yet the Sonata Hybrid achieves the industry’s lowest 0.25 coefficient of drag.
The Sonata Hybrid is different, but not eccentric. A raked roofline, modern design and 16-inch or available 17-inch alloy wheels lower aerodynamic drag while adding style. A unique front grille and LED headlight accents with daytime running lights also distinguish the Hybrid from its traditional counterpart. Front fog lights, LED tail lights and side mirror turn signal indicators increase visibility and appeal, while the Blue Drive badge shows you’re leading the way to lower emissions.
Brilliant design and a more compact battery that fits in the trunk give the Sonata Hybrid the most interior space in its class, which leaves plenty of room for passengers and the features they love. Like power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, dual temperature controls and even heated front seats and rear seat bottom cushions. Plus a 4.2-inch LCD screen with hybrid technology display. Thanks to the space-saving lithium polymer battery, the Sonata Hybrid has more passenger room than the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion hybrids. There’s more head room, more leg room in front and even plenty of room for luggage in the trunk.
